Data freshness

  • Prices change only when GetPrice collects. Your competitors are collected on your plan's schedule, and last_collected_at tells you how old each price is.
  • GetPrice withholds bad readings. A price that fails our quality checks is never served, and you keep the last good price.
  • Corrections are silent. If we find a problem with a price after serving it, the price stops appearing. The previous good price, or null, takes its place. You get no retraction message.
  • Matches change too. Your team, or GetPrice's review, may add, confirm or remove competitors in a set.

Warning: Re-read current prices on every sync and overwrite what you stored. Don't trust a price you read once forever, and don't base decisions on stored history without checking it against the current answer.
